What kind of coverage options do you offer?

We keep it simple by offering two levels of industry leading warranty coverage for every vehicle type. Our Plus coverage protects you against both major mechanical failures down to the most commonly failed components. Our Elite Enhanced coverage combines all covered components listed under our Plus protection plan while adding an arsenal of additional coverage for luxury and hi-tech vehicles.

What is covered?

Unlike other extended warranty companies, we keep it real. E-Auto extended warranty plans are designed as “stated component coverage”. What does that mean? If a component is listed under your chosen warranty plan - then it’s covered. Simple, right?

What is not covered?

Any component not listed under your chosen warranty protection plan is not covered. Maintenance, normal wear and tear, pre-existing conditions, and neglect or misuse of your vehicle are not covered. This includes any repair outlined under your vehicle’s insurance plan, such as cosmetic damage and collisions. 

When can I use my policy?

Our extended warranty plans come with a 30-Day hold from the date of sale. This ensures against any pre-existing conditions while providing you time to review your policy. After this, your warranty coverage will be active for use.  

Why do I have to pay a surcharge for a Turbo or Supercharger?

Not all vehicles come equipped with a Turbo or Supercharger. For performance and luxury vehicles equipped with these components, it’s necessary to provide you with additional protection against these high cost repair items. Just like pizza, toppings are extra.  

Why is buying an extended warranty cheaper from E-Auto than through an independent car dealership?

Most aftermarket warranty companies that sell direct to the public are simply call centers staffed with scripted sales agents that are retailing another company's warranty product with the addition of heavy fees, commissions and profit margins. E-Auto is the consumer branch of an actual warranty company with over 100 years of combined industry experience. This means, you're getting the product and discounts upfront that our competitors are getting before they add fees, commissions, and high profit margins.

How do I file a claim?

If your vehicle is not safe to drive, please contact our 24/7 Roadside Assistance team for a tow. If your vehicle is safe to drive, simply take it into any licensed repair shop and have your mechanic call us directly at 1-888-219-9553 to initiate a new claim. 

Where can I take my vehicle for repairs?

You may take your vehicle to any A.S.E Certified repair facility or dealership. If you'd like assistance in finding a repair shop near you or utilizing one of our national fleet accounts, feel free to give us a call.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

All vehicle protection plans come with complimentary 24/7 Roadside Assistance which includes: Tire Change Service, Lockout Service, Jump Start, Fluid Delivery, and Towing.  To contact Roadside Assistance dial 1-800-278-4690, Producer Code 85362, Plan “U”. 

How do I use my Rental Car Coverage?

In the event of an authorized covered component repair, we will reimburse you for receipted expenses for a rental vehicle from a licensed rental agency while your vehicle is being repaired.  

How much of my claim will E-Auto pay?

E-Auto will pay for all covered parts and labor costs for your vehicle; including some diagnostic time with the addition of any fluids, filters, or seals and gaskets needed in conjunction with a covered component repair.

How much am I responsible for?

In general, you will be responsible for your deductible and any non-covered component repair costs. Sometimes, repair shops will artificially inflate the costs of parts needed for your repair. In that case, E-Auto can find the quality parts you need and have them shipped to the repair shop to avoid our customers from coming out of pocket for repairs. We are here to work with you, not against you. 

Who pays the repair shop?

E-Auto will pay your repair shop directly via credit card over-the-phone or check for all approved covered component repairs as soon as the repairs are completed. 

What if I have an emergency repair and your office is closed?

In the event your vehicle needs to be repaired and our office is closed; simply submit the invoice, receipt, and information regarding the vehicle repair to use directly by phone, fax, or email and we will work with you to be reimbursed for your vehicle’s repair cost according to your specific protection plan. 

Trip Interruption

In the event of a covered component breakdown that occurs more than 150 miles from your home and requiring a licensed repair facility keeping your vehicle overnight; we will reimburse you for receipted hotel expenses up to $100 per night for a maximum of two nights. Road trips and family vacations just got a little bit easier. 

What is a Vehicle Service Contract?

A Vehicle Service Contract is designed to provide drivers against the high cost of unexpected repair bills. Vehicle Service Contracts are more commonly known as an aftermarket warranty, extended car warranty, or a used car warranty. Some refer to a Vehicle Service Contract as “Mechanical Insurance”. 

Can I cancel my warranty?

If for any reason you are unsatisfied within the first 30 days from the date of purchase you can request a full refund for your down payment made at the time of purchase or the full contract purchase price if paid in full. Cancellation requests made after the first 30 days from the time of sale will be prorated by time or miles used less the amount of claims paid out during your coverage period.  

Can I transfer my warranty onto my next vehicle?

If you trade your vehicle in or sell to a private party; your policy is fully transferable to the vehicle’s new owner offering additional resale value to your vehicle.  

Do I really need a warranty?

Do you really need car insurance? The answer is yes. Although not mandatory by law, smart drivers choose E-Auto to protect against out of pocket repair costs for their vehicle. Just like the human body, used cars and trucks need maintenance and care to keep them going for years to come. An extended warranty plan is like “healthcare” for your vehicle.  

What is a VIN and where do I find it?

A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique number assigned to your specific vehicle from the manufacturer. Your VIN can be found on the inside panel of your driver’s side door, on your insurance ID card, or located on the corner of your driver’s side dashboard where it meets the windshield. 

Do I still need this if my vehicle is under the original factory warranty?

This depends on the year, make, and current mileage of your vehicle. Most manufacturer warranties are only active for 36 months or 36,000 miles from the time of purchase. Some manufacturer warranties only offer coverage for a limited amount of time.

Do I need your warranty if I currently have a Powertrain warranty?

Powertrain coverage is limited to specific engine and transmission failures with a capped amount that the warranty company is liable to pay towards your repair. With E-Auto, your vehicle will be protected from repairs both large and small. No payout caps; no hassle. 

What is bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage?

Oftentimes drivers are misled to believe that they’ve purchased a “bumper-to-bumper” warranty plan. The truth is, only your vehicle’s original manufacturer can provide bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage for a limited amount of time; assuming you’ve purchased a brand new vehicle.
